The best time to visit the Tunisian Sahara

Spring and autumn: the most comfortable months

March, April, October and November have average highs between about 22 and 29 °C. Days are warm enough for the dunes, and evenings are pleasant around the fire.

Winter: mild days, cold nights

From December to February, average highs are around 16 to 18 °C and average lows fall to about 5 to 6 °C. Bring warm layers for the evening and the night.

Summer: very hot

From June to August, average highs reach 36 to 39 °C. If you come in summer, plan camel tours and 4x4 rides for the early morning or late afternoon, and drink plenty of water.

Rain and clear skies
