Desert Camp Sabria is a desert camp at the old fort of Sabria, an old fort once used by the French army, about 30 km (38 km by road) from Douz in the Kébili region of southern Tunisia. Guests come for camel tours, a Tunisian dinner, a night in a tent and a sky full of stars.
What is a night at the camp like?
Check in from 3 PM and settle into your tent. In the afternoon you can ride a camel into the dunes or take a 4x4 tour. After a Tunisian dinner, the evening is spent around the campfire under the stars. In the morning there is breakfast if you booked it, and check-out is by 11 AM.
Where is Desert Camp Sabria?
The camp is at the Ancien Fort de Sabria, El Faouar, Kébili 4264, on the edge of the oasis village of Sabria. It is about 30 km (38 km by road) from Douz and about 7 km east of El Faouar, where the dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental begin. A regular car can reach the camp; you don’t need a 4x4. Every tent has proper beds and woven rugs. Restrooms are shared, and power and Wi-Fi are in the shared buildings, not in the tents.
